Catalogue: Jonah Jones Centennial Exhibition

Jonah Jones Centennial Exhibition catalogue

The centennial exhibition in 2019 at Oriel Plas Glyn-y-Weddw, Llanbedrog, Pwllheli, celebrated Jonah Jones as a sculptor, letter cutter, glass maker and water colour painter, presenting examples of his work through his long career from the 1940s to the early 2000s. The gallery published a beautifully illustrated 80-page catalogue, setting out the exhibits both thematically and more or less chronologically. The text was written by Peter Jones, author of the biography Jonah Jones: An Artist’s Life, and the spare, clear bilingual design was by Olwen Fowler.

Jonah Jones Centennial Exhibition catalogue

The centennial exhibition catalogue makes a perfect digested sampler of Jonah’s work, setting out, in (bilingual) words and pictures, a complete spectrum of his lifetime output. Plas Glyn-y-Weddw generously donated a couple of boxes of spares to Scene & Word after the show closed. This enables us to offer the catalogue for sale while stocks last.

For every copy sold in the UK we will donate £1 to Plas Glyn-y-Weddw. Please note that although we charge the same net price in every market, our overseas prices reflect the ever-growing cost of shipping our products outside the UK.

Sale of remaining stock. ISBN 978-0-9928178-8-6. Orders despatched within 5–10 days in cardboard book mailers.
