The Architectural Glass Centre (AGC) at the Swansea College of Art have completed the restoration of 12 spectacular dalle de verre windows by Jonah Jones.
On 28 October 2022, the AGC delivered a final panel to St David’s Church, Mold, where the windows are being relocated. While being removed from the original location in Morfa Nefyn, one of the 24 panels was found to have deteriorated so badly that it collapsed. A complete rebuild of the broken panel was needed.
The final stage of the project will be the installation of eight of the windows at St David’s in stainless steel frames manufactured by Dee Tech Services of Hawarden, under the direction of project manager Mike Bunting. The other four windows were installed earlier in 2022.
