Further funding for installation of restored dalle de verre windows

7 October 2021

The relocation of twelve large dalle de verre windows from a closed church in Morfa Nefyn to the Catholic church of St David in Mold, Flintshire, has come a step nearer with the news that the church has been awarded £10,000 by The Pilgrim Trust.

The grant will be used towards the cost of installing the restored windows in St David’s. Eight of the windows will be mounted in specially constructed frames set in existing window openings. The remaining four will be set in wall-mounted lightboxes with inbuilt LED lights.

The restoration of the windows, made by Jonah Jones in the mid-1960s, continues at the Swansea College of Art’s Architectural Glass Centre.
