St David’s Catholic Church in Mold, which is part of the Wrexham Diocesan Trust, has launched a Go Fund Me appeal for the repair of twelve dalle de verre windows. They were originally created by Jonah Jones in 1966 for a Catholic church in Morfa Nefyn, which was closed in 2016.
The windows were removed in 2019 by a team of experts from the Architectural Glass Centre (AGC) at Swansea College of Art (part of the University of Wales Trinity St David). The repair and restoration work will also be done at the AGC. When completed, the windows will be transported to Mold to be hung in their new home. The windows will be hung over a period of months to match the availability of funds.
